Be aware! S/S 2013 trends

Spring is approaching and shops are filled up with new collections. Offer is wide and it is really easy to get lost what is new and upcoming. Therefore, here is my fresh summary on what main trends designers offer to us this season.

Iridescent
Good news for working-girl. Iridescent fabrics are big right now. Therefore, designers offer it in everything, including business-friendly pieces. They are easy transformable into evening cocktail looks and can come even in this seasons "it" color - orange. Pair it up with snakeskin clutch and chunky heel platforms with multiple straps for modest, yet stylish look.

Flirty dresses
Fringe and tassels on dresses are still present and this time on flirty summer dresses. For casual look pair them up with strappy boots for comfortable and stylish look. Don't forget that flirty dresses look super feminine when accessorized with headbands.

Slouchy shapes
Slouchy shapes are widely offered this season, especially in coats - big, oversized and shapeless. But that is exactly their charm. Accessorize with this seasons so popular men's style shoes, put on sexy leather pants. And if you use only two colors creating the look, then you got yourself absolutely trendy S/S outfit.

Safari
Last seasons military trend slowly transforms in new theme - safari. Rather masculine at first glance, still can be easily transformed into feminine look with fresh trendy accessories like, metallic shoes. If you are not into subtle safari hues, adding pop of color wouldn't spoil it either.

Bare Midriff
This trend started last spring and certainly stayed for this summer as well, evolving from plain bra-like tops to cropped 90's style jackets with abstract prints. Try to keep up with this interesting new crop, compliment with the most architectural shoes you can find and add stand out accessories.

Neon
Choosing neon is brave and stylish in the same time, plus if it comes in lace, you are bound to look awesome. You can style it up adding leather jacket that for spring comes in all shapes and sizes. Add another big trend that came from bags last season - reptile skin in footwear.

Flowery prints
This season we are still having our girly, flowery prints, but they are much softer and more delicate compared to previous seasons. Interesting match can be decorated wedge platforms that might come in flower prints as well as in any other decorative patterns.

Stripes
You can see them everywhere. Horizontal, vertical, diagonal. All you need to do is to pick your favorite color. Accessorize with statement bag. Add shoes with an eye-catchy heel - another trend this season. It can be any shape, size or texture, the most important that it stands out.

White
This color was popular last summer and it is still on this one. Try looking different with vintage inspired look, choosing plated skirt and accessorizing with square kitten heel slingbacks - comfortable and stylish. For a final preppy touch add thin crew necklace.

Monochrome
There are so many black and white pieces in our wardrobes already, but designers still offer more and more. If you are up for buying something new, try monochrome dungaree. They are comfortable and versatile, easy transformable from business to evening look and always in style. A must-have accessory is this seasons top shoe style - pointed toes.

Checks
Spring/Summer 2013 we are slowly transitioning - less tartan, more geometry. Choose less popular colors like purple and pair it with green hues. The look will be completed with transparent shoes. Another footwear trend that just came in. Here we are talking about transparent heels, straps and whatever else you can imagine.

Sheer
We have loved it for several seasons and we still do, therefore designers do not hesitate to offer even more sheer this season. Pair your sheer look with another trend - print shoes. It can be floral, pixel or any other print of your choice. Just be careful and do not over-accessorize.
